Congratulations to the staff and volunteers associated with the Houston Carpenters & Millwrights Training Center for expertly hosting the SkillsUSA Texas District 7 & 8 Construction Trades Contest recently!
The event hosted 144 student competitors, along with spectators, industry leaders, skilled trades professionals, and the public. Skill competitions were held for Carpentry, Cabinetmaking, Electrical Construction, Plumbing, Construction Tool ID, Construction Material ID and a TeamWorks Construction mock project.
The Houston winners will now compete with about 8,000 other students at the Texas SkillsUSA event in April in Corpus Christi.
