Congrats to Local 1266 apprentices (left to right) James Haumer, Carlos De La Cruz, Justin Call and Sonny Garcia, who stepped out of their comfort zone to learn a completely new way to lay-out interior points. This is their very first QML 800 QuickMark Layout System class. The new system does layout in a fraction of the time over traditional methods, with a zero error rate, which saves money and reduces the need for re-dos. The system uses two laser beams that literally mark a visible “X” on the point. The lasers are controlled with an intuitive Android tablet with standard gestures and controls.
